Christine Stemmler

Christine Stemmler was born in Göttingen in 1986. She studied clarinet performance at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold with Prof. Hans-Dietrich Klaus and Prof. Thomas Lindhorst and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Prof. Ralph Manno, where she completed her diploma and master's degree with distinction. Christine Stemmler won several national prizes in the "Jugend musiziert" competition. She took part in various chamber music and orchestra courses and was a member of the Landesjugendorchester Niedersachsen. Participation in music festivals such as the Boston University Tanglewood Institute in the USA complemented her musical education.

 

Ms. Stemmler began her orchestral career in 2010 as a scholarship holder of the Orchestra Academy of the Essener Philharmoniker. From 2015-2017, she was associate principal clarinetist in the Philharmonische Orchester Hagen. She is a regular guest performer in various orchestras, such as the Essener Philharmoniker, the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, the Staatsoper Hannover, the Dortmund Philharmoniker, the Beethoven Orchester Bonn and the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln.

 

Christine Stemmler is a founding member of the ARUNDOSquintett.

She has been teaching at the Rhein-Kreis Neuss Musikschule since 2017 and in 2023 she received a teaching position for clarinet pedagogy and clarinet performance at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf.
